The property portals (Rightmove etc) continue to report record levels of activity, up some 40% on this time last year. We are registering approximatly double the number of applicants as compared to last year. We are also seeing a much higher percentage than normal of buyers that either have nothing to sell, are under offer or are planning to Let in order to buy. Last week we noted a particular rise in applicants from SW postcodes, and this week we have noticed that many of our agreed sales are to buyers coming from that area.
